Author Roger Erdvig unpacks the "two-story view of reality" that was developed by Francis Schaeffer. As part of this analogy, Schaeffer describes the world of facts, objectivity, and concrete observations as the first story in a home. As an extension of this way of thinking, religion, beliefs about God and His creation, morality, and subjective values get sent upstairs to the second floor. Too often, this binary view of reality has infiltrated families, churches, and classrooms. How do we fix it?
